RARE SPIRAL CONFIGURATION OF 36-STAR FLAG COMMEMORATING STATE OF NEVADA, 1865.

Archivally framed. Double applique stars with large central 7″ star surrounded by 35 2″ stars spirally set. This is an unusual, possibly unique, canton made of homemade parts. Two different early treadle sewing machines sewed this flag with good skill and imagination. SIZE: Flag: 3-1/2′ x 6′. Frame: 77-1/2″ x 47″. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Gallagher Collection.
