RARE PUNCH DECORATED TIN WALL SCONCE. Circa 1800, possibly New York State or Pennsylvania. The rolled sheet iron punch decorated sconce with rectangular backplate and rounded corners embossed and decorated with central circular medallion centering a hex symbol. The perimeter banded with punched half-linked volutes, bordering the embossed rectangular frame with concentric quarter circle and dot designs. The downswept folded candle arm with pie crust bobeche and candle cup with folded rim. SIZE: 14″ x 10″. CONDITION: Sconce retains much of its original surface with nicely oxidized patina.
