AMERICAN COIN SILVER PORRINGER BY JACOB HURD & TWO TANKARDS BY WILLIAM WHITTEMORE.

Two 4-3/4″ handled tankards made by William Whittemore (1710-1770) of Portsmouth, NH. Each hallmarked below the top rim “Whittemore” and the handles monogrammed “B A+M”. Together with a porringer with openwork handle made by Jacob Hurd, 1702-1758, Boston, MA. The 5-1/2″ bowl having his hallmark on the side and inscribed “M Bulman” on the underside. The handle with initials “CNE”. WEIGHT: 26.5 troy oz. CONDITION: Tankards each with a very small fissure at the top rim, typical minor dents and wear to the surface. The porringer with old repair to bottom of bowl, small dents to side. 51159-4 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 2059
