*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LIGHTWEIGHT RIFLE.

SN 124966. Cal. .45-70. 22″ rnd bbl with half mag, blue finish, nicely figured walnut stocks that are after market replacements with a red hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl and mag tube retain 70-80% orig blue finish drifting slightly to plum/brown. Marble number 6 front sight and sporting rear sight are very good. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 50-60% blue finish with carry wear especially on the bottom. Bolt retains 80% blue finish. Hammer and lever are gray/brown patina with generous traces of case color in protected areas. Tang markings are sharp and clear. Stocks are fine and show nearly all of their varnish finish with only slight handling marks. Buttstock has beautiful crotch-grained figure on both sides. Buttplate is nearly new.
