WINCHESTER FIRST MODEL 1876 EXPRESS RIFLE.

SN 10906. Cal. .50-95. 26″ oct bbl, button mag, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, as professionally restored. Bbl retains 95% of the dull blue finish, bbl markings are clear and sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver also retains 95%+ of the restored blue finish. Dust cover is a replacement. Elevator shows a mustard/brown patina with clear cal mark. Hammer and lever show nearly all of the case colored finish. Stocks are very good, slightly undersized and are missing two small chips at the upper tang. Buttplate shows nearly all of the blue finish as does the forend cap. An opportunity to obtain a desirable model 1876 Winchester Express rifle that has been professionally restored. 51567-1 TEP (6,000-7,500) – Lot 2029
