WINCHESTER THIRD MODEL 1873 RIFLE WITH BUTTON MAGAZINE.

SN 315052B. Cal. .38 WCF. 21-1/2″ oct bbl, button mag, stepped receiver, blue finish, straight grained American walnut stocks with steel shotgun buttplate. Bbl has been shortened to its present length. Initials “HM” are stamped on left rear bbl flat. “HM” is also stamped on right wrist of stock. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl has a smooth plum/brown patina overall with hints of blue in protected areas. Sights are good. Bbl address is slightly worn. Cal mark is sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 20% blue in protected areas with the balance turning a plum/brown patina. Elevator is a mottled mustard patina with a slight dent and sharp cal mark. Tang markings are sharp and clear. Hammer and lever are a silver/gray patina with slight hints of case color. Stocks are very good, slightly undersized and show some evidence of light cleaning. Stocks have handling marks overall. Buttplate and forend cap are a smooth gray/brown patina.
