TWO LOETZ GOLD IRIDESCENT VASES.

1) Loetz vase in the form of a conch shell appears to be riding on top of a wave. Shell is decorated in the Papillon pattern with gold iridescent oil spots with strong blue highlights. Unsigned. 2) Loetz vase in the Diaspora pattern has dimpled finish with bright gold iridescence and strong blue and purple highlights. Vase is finished with a pitched lip. Unsigned. SIZE: 1) 5-3/4″ t x 10-1/2 l. 2) 7-1/2″ t. CONDITION: 1) Shell has a long narrow flake on the underside of the pointed end of the shell that is very smooth and partially iodized. We believe this is from the making, otherwise very good to excellent. 2) Very good to excellent. 5-60084, 5-60085 (900-1,200) – Lot 2025
