WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 40-65. Standard grade carbine with 22″ bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood, straight stock with smooth steel, carbine buttplate and a saddle ring on left side of receiver with short ladder sight on bbl. Accompanied by a Winchester Museum letter identifying this carbine as having been shipped June 15, 1898. SN 115280. CONDITION: Good. No original finish remains on the bbl and magazine tube. Receiver has traces of case colors in the sheltered areas with scattered silvered case colors. Forearm has a crack at the end and the wood has been sanded with a light finish.
