GEORGE III STERLING SILVER LIDDED JUG. London, 1781 Maker “WC” (William Cripps, no. 2 ?). Of baluster form having a domed lid with pierced thumbpiece above a scrolling handle, raised on a circular foot. Converted to jug with spout added, at a later date. TOTAL WEIGHT: 32 tr. oz. SIZE: 6-1/4″ w x 8 -1/2″h. CONDITION: Drop dent to foot, thumbpiece bent forward, minor dings, good overall, typical for age. 7-74143 (600-800)
