HANDEL REVERSE AND OBVERSE PAINTED SCENIC TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has dome shade which is reverse painted with shadowy trees, cream colored clouds and green foliage. The shade is further decorated on the obverse with tall trees with lush green foliage. The exterior is also finished in chipped ice. Signed on inside rim “Handel” and what appears to be “6209.R”. Shade rests on a Handel base with four stylized leaves decorating the sides. The vertically ribbed riser supports a 3-socket cluster and fleur-de-lis cap. The base is finished in rich brown with green highlights. Signed on the underside with impressed block letters “Handel”. SIZE: Shade: 18-1/2″ dia. Lamp: 25″ t. CONDITION: Shade and base are both very good to excellent. Base is rewired with appropriate cloth cord. Shade has a few minuscule flea bites to bottom rim. 52005-8 (7,000-9,000) – Lot 1693
