SPRINGFIELD CIVIL WAR RIFLE MUSKET. CAL. 58. Standard musket with 40″ bbl, usual Springfield markings with 1864 dated lock and bbl. Accompanied by a socket bayonet with 13″ triangle blade believed to be a cadet bayonet. CONDITION: About good. Silver-brown patina over the metal parts with light rust, sound wood, dirty and mildewed with visible cartouches. Good mechanics. Bayonet with dark patina is pitted overall. 4-45865 (500-1,000)
