*WINCHESTER DELUXE LIGHTWEIGHT TAKEDOWN MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 33WCF. Fine deluxe rifle with 24″ tapered round bbl, pedestal mounted ivory bead hunting front sight, slot blank in the rear dovetail with Lyman loop tang sight with large disk. Wood is highly figured, center crotch cut walnut with “H”-style checkered forearm, capped pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber buttplate. SN 145023. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl and magazine tube and foreend cap retain 98-99% strong bright original blue. Receiver and takedown ring retain 96-97% strong bright original blue with two small spots of flaking and very fine light edge wear. Lever retains 50-60% faded case colors and the hammer about 95% strong dark colors. Wood is sound and retains most of its original piano finish with some small scratches at the back end of the forearm and a few light handling marks on the stock. Left side of the receiver has a series of extremely fine scratches. Bright shiny bore, dark in the grooves, should clean better. 4-47008 JR406 (5,000-7,500)
