*WINCHESTER MODEL 12 EXPERIMENTAL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. Field grade gun with 20″ plain bbl that has been reduced in length and now has a threaded boss at the muzzle with a removable 7″ long choke. This appears to be something that Winchester was experimenting with and never produced. The forearm is large, round ribbed, uncheckered stock with hard rubber buttplate. SN 1635890. CONDITION: Excellent. Modified as noted retaining 97-98% strong original blue overall. Sound wood retaining 95-96% original varnish. Magazine tube, above the forearm, has a series of light dents.
