WINCHESTER DELUXE MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32WS. Fine antique deluxe rifle with 26″ oct. bbl, full magazine, marbles front sight with Winchester smokeless 32 Special sight and a Lyman loop tang sight. Wood is highly figured, center crotch cut walnut with “H”-style checkered forearm and capped pistol grip stock with smooth steel buttplate. SN 85780. CONDITION: About very good. Bbl retains 80-85% strong original blue with wear near the muzzle and over the carry point. Magazine tube retains about 93-95% strong bright original blue with a couple spots of surface rust. Receiver retains about 75% thin original blue with the top and bottom silver and striation marks down both sides. The lever retains 10-15% case colors with the balance turned silver and the hammer about 90% dark case colors. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining traces of original finish showing heavy wear to the checkering. Stock retains 70-75% original varnish, dark and oil stained around the receiver and tangs showing moderate to heavy wear on the grip checkering. There is a fingernail size gouge near the heel. Strong bore, dark in the grooves. Should clean better. 4-46144 JR416 (2,500-4,000)
