WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 SPECIAL ORDER LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. .45-90. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct. to round bbl, full magazine, half-nickel front sight, missing rear sight with a Lyman 56 receiver sight mounted to the left side of the receiver. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 105804. CONDITION: Except as noted, near excellent. Bbl and magazine tube retain 92-95% original blue with edge wear, a few small scratches and some thinning on top. Receiver retains 30-40% bright case colors on the right side and 75-80% strong colors on the left side with the balance turned silver. Foreend cap retains about 90% fading case colors and the buttplate traces of silver case colors. Wood is sound and retains about 50% forearm varnish and 75% stock varnish.
