*WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE CARBINE. Cal. 348. Unusual configuration with 20″ tapered round bbl, ramp front sight with hood and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Transition model with rounded, knurled hammer, short tang and fine checkering, beaver tail forearm and capped pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate and deluxe sling swivel bases. SN 22304. CONDITION: About excellent. Bbl retains 95-96% original blue, slightly thinned over the carry point and at the muzzle, beginning to turn plum. Magazine tube retains about 95% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains 95-97% strong bright original blue with minor edge wear and very slight thinning on the bottom. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining about 90% original varnish with light nicks and use marks. Buttstock retains about 95% strong bright original varnish with minor nicks and use marks with some finish loss near the buttplate. Bright shiny bore. 4-47015 JR398 (3,000-4,000)
