LOT OF EXPORT WARES.

China, 18th century. The lot made up of five shallow bowls decorated in the Famille Rose palette. Together with a porcelain dish and two shaped Peking enamel examples. SIZE: Largest 8-3/4″ dia. Shallow bowls 6-1/4″ dia. Peking 6-1/4″ across. PROVENANCE: Downeast Maine home, descendant of Knud Rasmussen, famous Danish arctic explorer whose “greatest achievement” was the massive Fifth Thule Expedition (1921–1924) being sold unreserved. CONDITION: Large dish is very good. Bowls with numerous lines and restoration. Peking enamel with cracks and losses to the enamel. 51323-27 (300-500) – Lot 1552
