*WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 348 WCF. Early configuration with 24″ tapered round bbl, ramp front sight with hood, slot blank in rear dovetail with bolt peep sight, half-magazine with checkered beavertail forearm and long tang capped pistol-grip stock, high-comb with checkered steel buttplate. It also has deluxe sling swivels with a military-style leather sling. Buttstock has a 3″ dark stripe up from the buttplate around the stock, , apparently from a slip-on recoil pad. SN 16682. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains 97-99% strong bright, original blue. Foreend cap, about 70% flaked blue. Lever is slightly grayed on the outside edge. Bolt peep is missing its disk. Wood is sound and retains about all of its original factory varnish with one or two minor scratches and the aforementioned darker stripe around the butt.
