LOT OF VARIOUS POTTERY AND PORCELAIN WARES.

China and others, 18th century. The lot made up of four Chinese Export dishes handpainted with floral design. Together with two tin glazed dishes with violet artwork and a soft paste tea cup. SIZE: Largest dish 12″ d. Smallest 6-1/2″ dia. Cup 3-1/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: Downeast Maine home, descendant of Knud Rasmussen, famous Danish arctic explorer whose “greatest achievement” was the massive Fifth Thule Expedition (1921–1924) being sold unreserved. CONDITION: Chinese examples with small chips around rim. Tin glazed dishes with small chips. Soft paste cup with crack on rim. 51323-22 (700-800) – Lot 1516
