VERY RARE WILKINSON FIRST MODEL FAIRBORN-SYKES FIGHTING KNIFE. 6-3/4″ diamond shaped blade etched “THE/F-S/FIGHTING/KNIFE.” on one ricasso and “WILKINSON/SWORD/CoLtd/LONDON” on the other. Hilt is nickel-plated. Scabbard has several extra holes in the belt loop, evidently where the retaining devices were attached. Only 500 of these were made. CONDITION: Blade has been cleaned, but still has some rust and nicks on the edges. Most of the nickel plating remains. There are some light dents at the pommel. Scabbard is fine. Belt loop is cracked and battered. FS891 4-46130 (500-800)
