FINE BOWIE KNIFE.

FINE BOWIE KNIFE. 7-5/8″ blade with false clip point. Etched on one side with vines and “A SURE DEFENSE”. It is marked on the same side “GEORGE BUTLER & Co/key/TRINITY WORKS/SHEFFIELD/ENGLAND”. German silver crossguard and hilt have checkered horn scales. Simple leather scabbard is marked with Butler’s Key logo on the reverse, made without throat or tip. CONDITION: The marking is very good, but there is some light pitting on the blade. Scabbard is fine with some light bends, but retaining most of the brown finish. There is a small chip at the bottom rivet on the scales. 4-47182 FS375 (1,000-2,000)
