LOT OF THREE ORIGINAL REID “MY FRIEND” KNUCKLEDUSTERS IN .22 CAL.

SN 4631/4819/4978. Cal. 22. 1) Unusual transitional with frame marked on top “MY FRIEND PATD DEC. 26, 1865” and on bottom of left side “MY FRIEND”. Bronze frame. Cylinder pin with matching SN at front of frame. Hammer and cylinder with blued finish. Safety at front of frame with high polish blued finish. Grip sides with tasteful large open floral scroll. Front of trigger guard with SN, butt with knurling in oval motif. Top strap nicely zig-zag engraved. Recoil shield with light line engraving. Front frame with light sunburst line engraving. 2) Standard configuration frame marked on top left “MY FRIEND PATD DEC. 26, 1865”. Bronze frame. Cylinder pin with matching SN at front of frame. Hammer and cylinder in high polished blued finish. Safety at front of frame with high polish blued finish. Grip sides with tasteful large open floral scroll. Front of trigger guard with SN, butt with knurling in oval motif. Top strap nicely petal engraved. Recoil shield with unusual light line engraving. Front frame with light shield line engraving. 3)Standard configuration frame marked on top left “MY FRIEND PATD DEC. 26, 1865”. Bronze frame. Cylinder pin with matching SN at front of frame. Blued hammer and cylinder. Safety at front of frame with high polish blued finish. Grip sides with very tasteful large open floral scroll. Front of trigger guard with SN, butt with knurling in oval motif. Top strap nicely punch dot engraved. Recoil shield with light line engraving. Front frame with light sunburst line engraving. PROVENANCE: The Carmen Gianforte Collection. CONDITION: 1) Very good overall. Frame retains honest mustard patina. Cylinder retains 30-40% toned blued finish. Mechanics very good. 2) Excellent overall. Cylinder, hammer and safety pin retain 70-80% original blue. Frame with beautiful mustard patina. Likely used very little. Mechanics are crisp. 3) Excellent. Frame retains 75-80% orig nickel finish. Cylinder has tone with a couple of spots of minor staining.
