HARPER’S FERRY MISSISSIPPI RIFLE ADAPTED FOR BAYONET. NSN. Cal. .62, 33″ bbl. Rear sight and ramrod are replaced. Both bands and the front sight have been altered. These alterations were made in the VA theater for Confederate usage, as per Dr. Murphy’s book, pgs 348-358. CONDITION: Heavy rust-brown patina and pitting over all. Front of the hammer is blown out. Bbl tang is bent. There is heavy black patina on the patchbox and bbl bands. Stock has several cracks and chips including a large one behind the hammer. Rear sight is bent.
