*EARLY ASTRA M900, SINGLE LINE ADDRESS, SMALL RING HAMMER WITH STOCK.

SN 2437. Cal. 7.63MM. Standard configuration Astra M900 with 5.5″ bbl having fixed front sight and slip-in rear sight marked 50-1000. Short extractor, 2-lug firing pin and small ring hammer. Sideplate with the early single line address. Serial number “2437” on frame just above the left grip. The right side of bbl, bbl extension and frame marked with the early automatic pistol proof. Accompanied by the Eibar mark & “P.V.” on the frame. Full size walnut grips with fine serrations. Lanyard ring present. Major components rust blued. Most minor parts fire blued. Disassembly shows all matching numbers including each of the grip panels. Accompanied by an unmarked Mauser early Post-war shoulder stock, hinge without loop, with a repaired hairline 2.5″ crack along the top spine, stamped with a matching “2437” inside the lid. Modified lug is a forced match to the gun with a replacement plunger. CONDITION: At least 90-95% orig rust blue with expected wear on each side of the rail and freckling on the grip straps. Commensurate fading on the fire blued parts and oil darkening of the grips that have a scattering of dings and minor losses. Bright bore with slightly shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Very good Mauser stock with added numbers and lug modification. As most early Astra M900s saw hard use in Asia, this is one of the better examples to be offered at auction. 51010-2 (3,000-4,000) C&R – Lot 1417
