HANDEL MOUNTAIN STREAM TABLE LAMP.Handel table lamp has dome shaped ribbed shade with reverse painted decoration of mountain stream winding its way through woods. Trees have brightly colored spring foliage and rocks at stream side have remnants of snow from passing winter. Signed on interior “Handel 6826”. Shade rests on original Handel tree trunk base with three socket cluster and pierced fleur-de-lis heat cap. Finished in reddish-brown patina. Signed on underside “Handel”. Similar example, possibly the exact shade, pictured in Handel Lamps by DeFalco & Hibel & Hibel, pg. 63. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 23-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good with some wear, discoloration and blistering to finish. One pull chain is replacement. Contemporary plastic cord shows wear and cracking. 50317-1 (10,000-15,000) – Lot 1412
