ENFIELD MUSKET WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard Enfield musket with Snider conversion breech block marked “L.S.A.C.”. 3-bbl bands with slotted head ramrod, usual lock plate markings dated 1860 with an Enfield cartouche on the right side of the stock. CONDITION: Good to very good. Metal retains an even light brown patina with scattered crusty rust about mid-point on the bbl. Brass has been polished with a coat of varnish, wood is sound with a repair at the toe and retains most of an orig. finish. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-45288 JL 232 (500-800)
