ENFIELD MUSKET WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard musket with Snider conversion marked “B.S.A. CO.”. 3-bbl bands with slotted head ramrod, usual lock plate markings dated 1863. CONDITION: Very good. The bbl and receiver retain about 90% dull blue with light surface rust. Breech block and lock plate have traces of orig. case colors being mostly a silver-gray. Right side of the stock has Enfield cartouche and the left side has a diamond with “DC” mark. Wood is sound and retains generous amounts of orig. finish with usual light handling and use marks.
