WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE NIZAMI CUP & SAUCER.

Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre cup and saucer are decorated in the Nizami pattern. The cup depicts a Persian gentleman kneeling along side a tree stump with white gazelles grazing in the background among colorful foliage. The saucer is decorated with the white gazelles and colorful foliage with sunset sky all against a rich teal background. The applied handle and interior of the cup are finished in solid gold. Signed on the underside of both cup and saucer with the gold Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England”. SIZE: Saucer is 4-5/8″ dia. Cup is 2-1/8″ t. PROVENANCE: Betty Issod Collection.
