WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE NIZAMI COVERED BOX.

Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre covered box in the Nizami pattern has a large medallion on the lid depicting four Persian gentleman in a garden. Interior of the box has a medallion in the bottom of the box as well as on the interior of the lid depicting Persian figures in rich blue lustre with gilded highlights all against a pearlized lustre background. Signed on the underside with gold Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England” and retains an Issod Collection tag numbered A79. SIZE: 5″ dia. PROVENANCE: Betty Issod Collection. CONDITION: There are two tiny fleabites on the bottom edge of the lid, most likely from the making. Otherwise very good to excellent. 18655-12 (15,000-20,000) – Lot 1364
