HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has conical shade with reverse painted all over decoration of yellow love birds and stylized flowers, stems and leaves. Design has black detailing and bright green highlights to some flowers. All set against bright orange back ground. Shade is fitted with white metal aperture. Signed on interior rim “Handel 7905 Palme”. Shade rests on an original Handel base with urn shaped body, double handles, three socket cluster and pierced heat cap. All finished in rich brown patina with red and green highlights. Signed on underside with applied cloth tag “Handel Lamps”. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 20″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Unreserved Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Brian Bojesen. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with some very minor roughness to bottom rim. Base is very good with some very minor wear and discoloration to patina. Cloth cord is beginning to fray. 50361-15 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1322
