*FINE BERETTA SO9 OVER-UNDER SHOTGUN WITH BULINO AND SCROLL ENGRAVING BY D. BONSI AND S. VENZI, WITH CASE.

SN AAA203B. (1995) Cal. 12 ga. 3″ Chambers. 28″ Mono-bloc bbls fitted with flat, matted, ventilated rib, are engraved “P. Beretta – ITALY” and with importer (Beretta USA) on top bbl either side of rib. Upper left portion of mono-bloc is engraved with caliber and bbl length. Mono-bloc is stamped with 1995 Italian nitro proofs, and is engine turned on sides. Bbls are fitted with Briley interchangeable choke tubes. Coin finished, low profile OU action fitted with non-automatic safety and non-selective single trigger, is engraved with makers name on each side and on bottom. Action is engraved with 60% coverage well cut small scroll surrounding meticulously rendered bulino game scenes of game birds; pheasant flushing over meadow on left lockplate, trio of chukar partridge flushing over field on right, and a pair of woodcock flitting through alders on bottom. This fine engraving is signed “D. Bonsi” and “S. Venzi” on trigger plate. An imperial crown is inlaid in gold on top lever. Single beaded small bow trigger guard with scroll engraving on bow, has grade engraved on tang. Well marbled and lightly figured European walnut deep pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over russet brown leather covered pad. Point pattern checkering with line border is at grip. Matching one piece forend has Beretta’s rendition of a Deeley release. Bore diameter: top -.724, bottom – .723. Bore restrictions: screw chokes. Wall thickness: top – .035, bottom – .038. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Cast off approx 1/4″. Weight: 7 lbs. 13 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. High quality leather case by Vera Pelle with stitched leather corners is lined in dark olive felt, and has dark brown leather Beretta label in lid. Case has space for an extra set of bbls, and contains a pair of plastic snap caps, and three additional choke tubes (two in the gun) and wrench. CONDITION: Excellent, showing limited use, with a small number of minor marks and rubs on bbls. Coin finish remains bright overall. Stocks have some light handling marks. Checkering is excellent with tops of diamonds hand polished, and some flat diamonds on left side of grip. Mechanically crisp. Case leather is excellent with a number of rubs and scuffs.
