VERY HEAVY J.F. BROWN BENCH REST TARGET RIFLE. NSN. Cal. .64, 32″ oct. bbl, 2-5/16″ across the flats at the muzzle. The Remington bbl is marked “CAST STEEL” at the rear twice and “J.F. BROWN.” on the upper left flat. Brown’s name is also on the lockplate. The deluxe walnut stock is very finely checkered at the wrist. Complete with micrometer adjust telescope, false muzzle and bullet starter. Weighs 46-1/4 pounds. CONDITION: Retains about 90% of a thinning, original brown finish on the bbl and very faded case hardening colors at the breech. Stock is fine with minor marks. The telescope has about 1/3 of its brown finish remaining but the optics are obscured. Bore is bright. The seating rod mounting rim has partially worn through.
