FRENCH FASHION AUTOPERIPATETIKOS.

This semi-mechanical doll with key wind walking mechanism has a patent date stamped on the bottom of base and is found in multiple variations, however, it is quite rare to find this toy with a French fashion doll head. The pale bisque shoulder head is unmarked and has blue inset glass eyes, closed mouth and the remnants of the original sheep skin cap covering her head, however, a lovely new mohair wig is included. The torso is cloth covered wood which extends to the waist, and the arms are typical French fashion type white leather with individually stitched fingers. The floor length blue and silver dress is newer, however, but made of all antique fabrics. When wound with the key the doll moves forward on a hard surface. SIZE: 12″ t (31cm).
