MONKEY ORGAN GRINDER MECHANICAL BANK WITH IVES PALACE STILL BANK.

The first is the monkey boy & girl organ grinder bank which, at first appearance, is in overall nice original finish with strong paint on the figures. Upon close examination, left end panel has had some damage/repairs. Bank, other than missing trap, appears to be complete & intact, but a bit sticky – perhaps in need of lubrication to work properly. The Ives Palace still bank is complete, however steeple has typical damage to hidden part where it clips into the bank roof and a small chip to roof almost obscured by center dormer. Originally japanned, the finish has darkened and overall the condition is just fair. Still, both banks are good for a person who doesn’t need mint & perfect. SIZE: Approx 5-1/2″ w x 8″ t and 8″ w x 7-1/2″ t respectively. PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-14431, 1-14432 (450-650) – Lot 1274
