ALLAN HOUSER (American, 1914-1994) “WATCHING THE DANCE”.Bronze Copyright “13/20” NOTE: Allan C. Houser was a member of the Apache Tribe. His name derived from the Indian name “Ha-oz-ous” meaning “Pulling Roots”. His father was one of Geronimo’s warriors. In 1936 he was sent to the Indian School in Santa Fe where he studied under Dorothy Dunn.
