COLLECTORS LOT OF 3 PERCUSSION COLTS.

SN 231268/10763/10989. Cal. 31/36/31. 1) Colt 1849 Pocket 6″ octagon bbl with New York U.S. bbl address on top and cone-shaped brass front bead. 6-shot cylinder with stage coach hold-up scene. Left side of frame marked “Colts Patent”. 1-pc walnut grips, brass trigger guard and back strap. 2) Colt 1865 Pocket Navy, 4-1/2″ octagon bbl cone-shaped brass front bead. Rebated cylinder left side of frame marked “Colts Patent”. Brass trigger guard, 1-pc grips. 3) Scarce Colt Root Model 7A with a 4-1/2″ round bbl. 2-line New York U.S.A. Address. 5-shot fluted cylinder, spur trigger, 1-pc walnut grips. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: 1) Good. Metal surfaces retain an even mixed brown patina with salt and pepper pitting. Cyl scene is approx 60% visible. Traces of orig silver on trigger guard and back strap. Grips are very good with minor handling marks and scratches. 2) Fair. Bbl, cyl, frame cleaned silver with scattered corrosion throughout. Grips are good, fit well with handling marks and a couple of scratches. 3) Very good retains 25-30% orig blued finish. Scattered freckling on top strap near hammer and cyl with a number of small dents in one of the flutes.
