TWO CLOSED MOUTH GERMAN DOLLS.

The larger is a bisque socket head incised “154” with inset brown glass eyes, which is mounted on a separate shoulder plate which is attached to an all leather body with gussets at the elbows, hips and knees with bisque lower arms. Costume could be original. The smaller has no discernible markings but has a flat “Belton” type head, brown glass eyes, an open/closed mouth similar to that of a Bru. The German wood and composition body is jointed at the shoulders, hips and knees. Costume is an 1890s style frock made of gold silk and white lace. SIZE: Larger: 13″ t (33cm). Smaller: 10″ t (25cm).
