CASED SPRINGFIELD HARPOON GUN.

CASED SPRINGFIELD HARPOON GUN. SN. 11636. Cal. 45, 14-3/8″ bbl. A label from Abercrombe & Fitch is pasted inside the lid of the canvas-lined case describing how to use the harpoon gun. Also in the case are two boxes of Remington UMC blank cartridges; one of which has a purple overstamp “40 GRS /HARPOON GUN”. There is also a jointed cleaning rod and nine 12-1/2″ hickory dowels with leather washers on one end. Three solid brass harpoon heads with fitted slot for front sight also accompany the gun along with a military contract box of Western Cartridge Company blanks for line-throwing gun. CONDITION: Completely refinished. Stock is heavily sanded. Case is good but the label is partially missing and the carrying handle is replaced. FS783 4-47558 (400-800)
