RARE COLT MODEL 1849 “WELLS FARGO” PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

SN 57181. Cal. 31. Nice original, 100% complete and authentic “Wells Fargo” Colt Pocket model with 3″ bbl made in 1853. These scarce guns are the only pocket models made with out provision for ejector rod. This example has fine aesthetics with crisp clear markings that conform in configuration and markings to other correct examples. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good overall, hints of original finish, edges fairly sharp, all matching including wedge, markings crisp and well discerned. Cylinder scene 90% discernible and cylinder retains all 6 safety pins. Grips are well fit with hand worn patina, retaining about 80% original varnish with moderate edge wear and scattered blemishes.
