COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET REVOLVER WITH FULL NICKEL FINISH.

SN 120440. Cal .31, 4″ bbl, full nickel finish with nickel hammer, blue screws and trigger. Varnished 1-pc walnut grip. Bbl has 2-line address. Front sight is missing. Lever latch and screws are finished in blue. There is a small number “1” stamped on the lower bbl lug on left side. SN matches on bbl, lever, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cyl, arbor, and grips. Wedge is numbered 7442. Grips are varnish finish. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 50% orig nickel finish with sharp bbl address. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Lever retains 80% orig nickel finish. Lever latch and screws retain considerable blue finish. SN mark is sharp. Frame retains 30% orig nickel finish. Drifting to a gray brown patina. Hammer retains 50% nickel finish especially on top, with some erosion on both sides. Screws and trigger also retain a considerable amount of blue finish. Colt’s Patent mark is sharp. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 60% dull nickel finish with most of the wear around trigger. Cyl retains 30% orig nickel finish and about 75% cyl scene. Colt’s Patent and SN is sharp. Safety pins are battered. Grip retains 90% orig varnish with high-point wear and minor scratches and dents overall. A very nice Colt 1949 Pocket in a finish not often seen.
