1) Solomon Grindell Clothing Co. sign promoting this merchant’s line of hats, caps and shoes. Sign has mottled green glass field, milk glass letters and narrow double borders using yellow and amber glass. Constructed with two vertical soldered metal reinforcements and set within a wood frame. 2) James Chadburn Plumber & Co. glass sign consists of white milk glass letters against a dark red and orange field. Features elaborate floral motifs at top and bottom simulating vines with leaves and flowers using glass “jewels”. Multiple borders of yellow, green and blue make this a spectacular example of stained glass artwork. SIZE: 1) Overall: 64″ w x 27-1/2″ h. 2) 54-1/2″ w x 23″ h. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling.
