AMES 1861 SWORD BAYONET.

AMES 1861 SWORD BAYONET. 21-3/4″ blade. SN 40432 would indicate that it is for a Sharps or Spencer rifle but it does not fit either of the two Sharps it was tried on. CONDITION: Blade has been sharpened and polished in the past, but has been chemically toned. Hilt has numerous small dents, scabbard has several bends and is missing three of the brass attaching rivets but is still solid. FS754 4-47572 (300-500)
