BOXED LEHMANN MASUYAMA.

A classic Lehmann toy of a Coolie drawing a rickshaw with a female passenger dressed in her Kimono seated within. Toy is in remarkable original condition and the box itself is extremely solid with some minor separation to end flap of lid on one side. Large colorful lithograph covering virtually the entire top of box with most likely the original owner of this toy penciled in…”Ruth”. When the toy is wound, the Coolie will walk along in a realistic manner while the female passenger waves her head, fans herself, and the umbrella spins about. A highly desirable Lehmann toy from the earlier part of the 20th century in remarkable condition! SIZE: Approx 7-1/4″ l. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: Overall very fine plus. A light cleaning of “shelf dust” would bring out the vibrancy of the litho. 1-14614 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1136
