*SPECTACULAR L.C. SMITH CROWN GRADE SHOTGUN.

SN RE102792. Cal. 12 ga. 32″ bbls with ventilated rib. 2-7/8″ chambers, so marked on right bbl flat. F/F chokes. Twin beads. Wedding band engraving at muzzles. Right bbl engraved at top “L.C. SMITH CROWN GRADE”. Left bbl engraved at top “MADE TO ORDER BY THE HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. FULTON, N.Y.”. Matted ventilated rib with engraved rib area at breech. Barrel wedge engraving at breech end. Jeweling on bbl breech faces and bbl flats. Crown Grade receiver elegantly engraved with much foliate scroll on sides, top and bottom. Both side plates engraved with oval vignette of two hunting dogs afield with stippled background surrounded by foliate engraving. Top lever engraved with scroll and crown inlaid with gold. Trigger bow engraved with foliate scrollwork and chain borders at edge. Hunter One Trigger. Gun is fitted with select fancy figured walnut with bold contrasts in color and grain in buttstock. Beavertail forend with banjo type forend release. Forend iron is nicely engraved with scroll and chain borders. Monte Carlo, capped pistol grip buttstock with White Line Junior ventilated recoil pad. LOP 14-3/8″ over pad. DAC 1-1/2″. DAH 1-3/4″. No safety. CONDITION: Barrels retain most of deep blue finish with slight browning tone. Wear at muzzles and slight thinning at breeches. Normal silvering on undersides of bbls at forend contact points. Bores are bright. Receiver retains a generous amount of lovely case color, strongest on rear sides and top. Color thinning on forward section of belly and front receiver sides from carry. Miniscule nick at juncture of receiver and side plate on left side. Top lever shows nice color. Rear of top tang silvered from handling. Trigger bow retains majority of its high polished blue with some thinning and flaking. Left side plate screw, and tang screws slightly marred. Nice forend finish with sharp clean checkering. Buttstock shows professional refinish and checkering enhancement. Slight difference in color and tone of wood pieces. Minor handling marks.
