PAIR OF RICHTER & CO. LIMOUSINES ALONG WITH A PAIR OF OTHER GERMAN TIN CARS.

A charming pair of finely lithographed German wind-up limousines circa 1910 manufactured by Richter & Co. Interesting trademarks on the rear passenger compartment doors as well as interesting lithography for the simulated rear windows and roofs as well. Although likely this manufacturer produced many toy vehicles, they are seldom found and more than likely these toys were produced in the same era but lithograph varied considerably. Both vehicles overall are in very good original finish. One limo lacking a cowl light and has some minor front roof edge chipping and minor crease as well. Third vehicle being a green and black sedan of an unknown manufacturer. Obviously many German manufacturers produced toys of this nature and this example is reminiscent of either a Bing or Orobr version. This particular vehicle is in very fine plus to near mint condition. The fourth vehicle is a dark blue and black 2-door coupe with simulated tin tires and a windup mechanism. It is obvious from handling this toy that although it is charming and well done it was tinny and inexpensive toy of the era. Of unknown manufacturer the toy has a good look and is in virtually to very fine plus to near mint condition. SIZE: Approx 5-3/4″, 5-3/4″, 6″, 6″ l respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-14786 (700-900) – Lot 1121
