*RARE A H FOX OF PHILADELPHIA EARLY A GRADE 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN.

SN 12335. Cal. 12ga. Chambers 2-3/4″, 30″ Krupp steel bbls with not often seen factory high lustre bbl blue. Chokes Mod/Full, standard metal front bead and wide concave matted rib. Splinter forend with Anson & Deeley release. 1st generation engraved A grade non-ejector action features light border engraving and flourishes on action body and top lever. Dbl triggers. Early style long bow trigger guard. Nicely figured American walnut semi-pistol grip stock measures 14-1/8″ to hard rubber buttplate. DAC 1-1/2″, DAH 2-3/4″. Automatic safety. CONDITION: Unusually fine. Bbls retains most of their orig factory finish with some thinning at carry points and high edges of muzzles. Sharp crisp markings. Receiver retains a high percentage of early orig factory case color, vibrant in protected areas. Engraving remains sharp. Blue is thinning on trigger bow. Stock appears to have period of use light finish added which does not detract from overall appearance. Clean, orig checkering remains. Top lever right of center. Gun is tight and crisp. Fine screws.
