GUNTHERMAN #7 LIMOUSINE & GK VEHICLE.

The first vehicle being a relatively obscure and very interesting limo lithographed in white with an abundance of gold highlighting. Cast lead single lamp on front end with a number 7 emblazed upon the engine hood. Trademark Guntherman mark on either passenger compartment doors and roof of the vehicle has an arrow pointing forward. Once begins to wonder, since the roof slides off, if the passenger compartment could also have been used to contain candies or sweets for a child, and perhaps this vehicle was sold in a candy or sweet shop. Circa 1910, the vehicle has simulated spoked tires and a rear wind clockwork mechanism which is in functional working order. The litho is still quite bright & the gold shows very little signs of oxidation as well. Second vehicle, the G&K, with the driver himself holding a rod between his legs and actually gives the image that it is an Irish mail-type vehicle. Lithographed in an apple green with the GK trademark on either side, a unique vehicle that is seldom found. Overall condition very fine plus to near mint. SIZE: Approx 6-1/2″ & 4″ l respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As stated above, the Guntherman vehicle has small minor corrosion at right left rear corner. 1-14631 (800-1,200) – Lot 1114
