SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1873 RIFLE. SN 120844. Cal. .45-70, 32-5/8″ bbl. The “SWP” cartouche is dated 1879. Accompanied by original bayonet without scabbard. CONDITION: Blue-gray patina overall with light to moderate pitting. Stock has been lightly cleaned but dents and scratches remain. There is a short crack at the rear of the lock and some gouges along the bottom. Sling is cracked, but still solid. FS864 4-47098 (500-700)
