VERY RARE EARLY PARKER BACK ACTION LIFTER SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN.

SN 029. Cal. 12B ga. Decarbonized steel 28″ bbls. CYL & CYL bores. 2-1/2″ chambers. Rnd body lifter action with back action hammer locks, dbl triggers and extractors. Action has straight line border engraving. Early guns were known as “Dollar Grades” prior to standardization of features and grades since they could be ordered with any embellishment the customer was willing to pay for. Steel tipped key fastened splinter forearm with 2-diamond panel checkering. Straight grip stock of plain walnut with point pattern checkering. LOP: 14-1/4″ over steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Bbl finish has faded to light patina with spots of corrosion. Lightly pitted bores. Action has gray appearance with areas of deep pitting. Wood has old refinish over numerous heavy handling marks. Forearm has small chips along bbl channels and at iron. Stock is chipped at toe.
