LOT OF EIGHT POWDER HORNS. 1) 10″ plain horn with light turned ring at mouth. Marked “MWR” near base and on the pine plug. – Minor splits, hole inside behind the mouth ring. 2) 13″ plain horn with roughly carved nozzle. – Crudely carved, probably unfinished. 3) 10″ plain horn with triple grooved rings at mouth. Monogrammed “MD” (?) on the wooden plug. – Lightly scratched, some light splits at mouth, generally good. 4) 8-1/2″ plain horn with turned mouth. – Turned wooden plug is split and chipped in the area of the first carrying ring, a new one has been installed. Some flaking to sides. 5) 10″ plain horn with turned mouth, iron eye screwed in side for carrying ring. – Light flaking and much scratching. 6) 8-5/8″ plain horn with turned and carved mouth, iron staple in pine plug. – Much scratching, light insect damage. 7) 7-7/8″ heavy horn with oct. carved tip expanding 4″ up the horn. Pine plug has a window in middle. – Light scratching overall. 8) 10″ plain horn with turned mouth. – Severe insect damage overall. 4-47330-132 FS605 (400-800)
